Brooke deRosa was recently featured in the Los Angeles Times in an article highlighting Ebell of Los Angeles and its $30,000 National Endowment for the Arts grant supporting the creation of All About Rose, a new work composed by Brooke with a libretto by Velina Hasu Houston. Commissioned by Lyric Opera of Orange County, The Yellow Wallpaper features music by Brooke deRosa and a libretto by Diana Farrell. Based on Charlotte Perkins Gilman’s iconic short story, the opera made its New York City debut at Carnegie Hall in January 2026. The production marked an exciting milestone for Brooke’s work, bringing her music to one of the world’s most celebrated concert halls.
