Commissioned by Pacific Opera Project (POP) in 2018, composer Brooke deRosa created a 10-piece orchestral reduction of the original orchestral score by Italian composer Gioachino Rossini. The arrangement preserves the character, energy, and dramatic richness of Rossini’s music while reimagining the full orchestral score for a compact ensemble.

Designed for intimate performance settings, this reduction offers a flexible and accessible alternative to a full orchestra while retaining the musical vitality and theatrical impact of Rossini’s original work.
